インドのDream Trust理事長のSharad Pendsey先生より、国際糖尿病支援基金を通じてご支援しているGolti Lohiさん（1型糖尿病）の近況を知らせる手紙が送られてきました。

1型糖尿病の少女ゴルティ ロティの御支援、ありがとうございます。
ゴルティは元気にしております。1日2回インスリンを打っています。
ゴルティは、洗濯、食器洗い、家の掃除、料理と家事をしています。
去年は、てんかんの発作による痙攣をおこすことなく過しました。
てんかんの薬も飲み続けています。右肩の関節に関節炎を起こして始めているため、理学療法も必要です。
母子家庭であるため、彼女の母親の日給1ドルの収入で6人の家族を養っています。
家族全員が大変な状態です。

Golti is doing well. She takes 2 injections of insulin daily.
She looks after the household work (washing clothes/utensils, cleaning the floors of their house and cooking.
She had no convulsions in last year and her anti epileptic drugs are still continuing.
She now has developed peri arthritis of right shoulder joint and requires physiotherapy for it.
Her mother is a widow and has to work after 6 family members with earning of 1 USD per day.
The family is going through a difficult time.
